Dr. Desi Barroga is originally from Honolulu, Hawaii and received his medical degree from the University of Hawaii School of Medicine. Dr. Barroga went on to complete his internship training at St. Joseph Hospital in Chicago, Illinois. He then successfully completed and graduated from Nuclear Medicine residency at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago, Illinois and Diagnostic Radiology residency from Morristown Memorial Hospital in New Jersey and was double-board certified in both Diagnostic Radiology and Nuclear Medicine. He practiced diagnostic imaging in Los Angeles and Orange County for seven years.
His intimate knowledge of the human body, both form and function inspired him to retrain into the specialty of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation at the University of California at Los Angeles. As a result, Dr. Barroga is highly skilled and trained to provide you with the highest standard of care to help restore function, improve quality of life and manage pain.
Dr. Barroga is board eligible for the American Board of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation and is currently a member affiliate at Medical City Dallas Hospital. He is also a member of the American Academy of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, the American Academy of Pain Management, the American Medical Association, Texas Medical Association, Dallas County Medical Society and Genesis Physicians Group.
